Pilates exercise reduces lower back pain

Lower back pain and inactivity form a vicious cycle. Pilates based exercise that focuses on core strengthening, posture and co-ordination of breathing with movement , reduces lower back pain and discomfort. In the study by Patti et al (2015), patients undergoing Pilates based exercise were also able to reduce their pain medication.
